We have switched the default PHP version on our servers to version 7 and where possible upgraded clients sites to use PHP7 to take full advantage of the new features and performance improvements. You can check the version your site is using in the control panel under Select PHP Version. Contact us if you have any issues with PHP7 and we’ll take a look at your site.
We noticed that very few users had enabled the Optimise Website function so it is now enabled by default for all Reality42 clients to help improve the performance of your website. It’s just one of the many options you can find in your cPanel area.
If you haven’t done so already, apply the security update for WordPress and your plugins as there are some nasty vulnerabilities in older versions. If you are with Reality42 you can automate the update through your control panel so it takes seconds to secure. Set the option to auto update in the future and stay secure. Contact the support team if you have any issues and we’ll help you get up to date.
We have a new website. We spend most of our time keeping everything ship shape behind the scenes but decided our website was long overdue an overhaul. It’s still being developed and there will be new features and better integration with the client areas over the coming months.
